This February I was invited to reside at Gropiusstadt for the residency programme, Pilot-project Gropiusstadt. During my ‘test’ week I kept a diary of my daily explorations through the area, while listening to the radio every evening. Life without internet revealed more time for editing video, taking photo’s, spying on others living across the way and listening to the art of broadcast. While listening to the German radio I came up with my project that focuses on the American presidential campaign from the perspective of my neighbours. In August I will return to organise my intervention and for another experience of living in controlled, überdesigned buildings by famous architects.
